Born and raised in Vista, California, attorney Cynthia Harris graduated from Vista High School as the co-Valedictorian in 1972. Ms. Harris went on to attend San Diego State University (SDSU). While at SDSU, she pursued her undergraduate degree in Political Science and enjoyed being a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor’s society.
In 1976, Attorney Harris graduated from San Diego State University as the Salutatorian. After graduation, she worked as a legal secretary for Asedo & McCarthy law firm. Attorney Harris prides herself on her integrity, honesty, and professionalism both in and out of the courtroom. She is passionate about her job and passionate about assisting people through their legal endeavors.
In the evenings, she attended law school at the University of San Diego, School of Law. In 1980, attorney Harris graduated Cum Laude. Since December 1980, attorney Harris has been a member of the State Bar of California. She has been practicing law in the San Diego area and Riverside County ever since!
During her early years, attorney Harris focused on the area of business and criminal law. During this time, she learned the foundations of trial procedures and complex litigation. It was in the mid-1990s that attorney Harris found her true passion when she branched out into the area of family law. Over the years, attorney Harris has litigated multiple cases at trial and court proceedings. Her greatest strength is her dedication to advocating for and efficiently representing her clients.
Cynthia’s areas of practice include: Family Law, Criminal Law, and Civil Law.

Laurel Anne Harris, JD

Born and raised in North County San Diego, Laurel Anne Harris attended High School at Carlsbad High School before venturing off to pursue her Psychology Degree at California State University San Marcos (“CSUSM”). Laurel Graduated from CSUSM in Spring 2016 and was accepted into California Western School of Law to continue with her studies. Laurel graduated from California Western School of Law in December 2019 and took and passed the February 2020 Bar Exam, despite an overall California passage rate of only 26%.
While attending school, Laurel worked as a legal assistant for Cynthia Ann Harris and amassed 10 years of legal experience prior to being being admitted to the California State Bar in 2020.
While applying to Law School and subsequently completing her California State Bar Moral Character Application, she realized there is a need among potential law students and law students applying for Bar Admission as both these applications require disclosure of colorful pasts, which can be daunting. Laurel has the ability to help individuals get a “pass” despite their colorful pasts as she received two Academic Excellence Awards in law school for legal writing and ethics.
Laurel Harris was recently published in the October 2021 Edition of San Diego County Bar Association, For the Record online publication with her article titled: Practitioner’s Perspective: Domestic Violence Laws.
Laurel’s area of practice include: Family Law, Criminal Law, and Civil Law.
